Gl CB!!! Try some vertical jigging with vibe lures...they work in cold water.

Me and Junior are ready for the last RR Tx. too. Going to be cold in the am. We practiced our casting all day at Crystal lake so we would be ready, maybe should have worked on catching instead.

You mean to tell us you guys did not catch any fish in the tournament today? Give us some details man. I am heading to the woods to hunt so I will read it later. Hope to see a big one this afternoon cause I don't feel like cleaning one in the cold tonight with having to fish the tournament tomorrow. So this afternoons hunt I be looking for a nice racked buck or a tattle tale kind of Doe.

I don't know what kind of crazy fisherman would crawl out of a warm bed at 4 in the morning when it's 35 degrees outside to try and catch a bass...wait, I may know one. If it were up to me all tournaments would start at 10am and last until someone catches a Hawg...but I'm funny that way.

Riverrat, don't forget to tell Junior he can only fish with one hook on his trebles, and it has to be turned backwards...naw, that probably wouldn't slow him down anyways. Good luck tomorrow.

Well.........Me and Junior kept our unbelievable streak going today. No, we did not catch a keeper, we did not even catch a dink. It gets even better, we did not miss a fish. We did not even get a bite!!!!!!!! All freaking day without anything . We saw one boat catch a fish every time we got close to them. Enough crying.

Cookie and his Dad won with a limit and Gary and Mike was second.

Roy, I just have thawed out. Had all the mother nature I could stand today . I must be crazy, but if I could skip work in the morning, I would go right back and tangle with them slimmy fish again. I just don't want those fish to have the last word

Congrats to Cookie & Dad for 1st place & BF, Gary & Mike for 2nd place. Was a tough one for sure out there but My partner & I are still stuck on them 3rd place finishes. We landed a few bass but not enough to Git-R-Done. My partner had the winning fish on but she came off at the back of the boat . She would have went 5+lbs easy . Was a very early bite but around 9am or so it was like someone turned a switch off . I think we got one more dink and thats it . Had two good under and one keeper to bring in plus one nice crappie. At least we did not get skunked out this time. I feel we done good this year over all. I had a blast fishing this last tournament with BMD & all the guys. We always have fun and thats what counts in my book . I look forward to fishing next year in the all new River Rats. Rat will be the new president next year. I know we will have a lot more boats showing up now with him taking over these events.

Rat, Sorry you & Junior could not get a bite but thats the way it happens out there even to the best of us. Next year things will be a different ball game with the new stuff added in to make these tournaments even better. Just remember My parter BassDan and I will be back to give you two a run for your money once again. Thanks for taking over this club and I will help you with anything you need. BMD, Hey partner we done all we could for the home team but came up a little short. Its all part of this sport we call tournament fishing. I had a blast fishing these tournaments with ya this year and hope next year will even be better us. You are a great partner and one heck of an angler. As you said today we can only get better from here on out to give Junior & Rat a good hard run for their money next year. Oh yeah don't forget we did not go out with a skunk like you know who did..

Thanks buddy for the encouraging words (skunk). It's good you wont kick us when we're down . Looking forward to next year to settle the score. I think its still two wins each . Sounds good to me Rat. Next year there will be a standing so everyone can see how we done. Guess this means we both have to fish extra hard to kick some major bass on that river to up hold our reputation for the two home teams.

I am glad to hear you all made it back home safe and sound. It sounds like it was a tough day out there, but a tough day fishing is better than.....just about anything but a good day fishing.

I want to thank you for partnering up with me this year..it was a fun season and I learned a lot about river fishing. I hated losing that big one but I still feel like we were doing the right things to win...but like you said, that's fishing. I plan on us being an even tougher team next season...can't wait for spring to git-r-done.

I guess we should call it even to be fair about things. I enjoyed fishing with and against y'all too. Maybe you can sneak out to Johnson with me again before winter sets in and who knows maybe CB will crawl down from his tree and join us. As soon as the bite gets hot again out there I will get a hold of you. I feel the same way as you about getting back on the horse as soon as possible...losing that big fish leaves a bad taste in my mouth. All I can say is you and Junior better be ready for us next spring...

Thanks everybody . We have been through some bad tournaments at the river the last several years, so everybody should know what they are in for. The size limit might be changing to make it tougher still. Will do my best next year.
