Hey,
Just wanted to see if any of you NC guys and gals were getting out this weekend to take advantage of the nice weather we're having and, if ya did, how did you do?
Unfortunately, I'm stuck in bed this weekend and wishing I was out on the water. Came down with a nice case of strep throat. I'm on all the meds, so I'm getting better, but as any of you know that have had this before, you get real tired real easily. So I've sequestered myself off from the rest of the family until I've been on my antibiotics for 48 hours as to make sure no one else gets it from me. Strep throat and sinus infections seem to be going around our area right now pretty rabidly, so hope all are staying healthy.
Anyhow, let us know how ya did if you got out this weekend,

Rangerroy, hate to here you are sick. Hope you get better soon. I know how you feel, that strep throat is bad.
I did make it out Saturday. I went to lake Mackintosh in Burlington. I got off to a slow start. It took me a while to get my first bite. But when I did it was a 4lb 12oz bass on a spinnerbate off the deep end of a laydown. I went on in the back to the hydrilla and cought three on a wacky worm, two of them where about 2&1/2lbs each.

Sorry to hear your sick Roy. This is the time of year it happens when we have low 30's at night and highs of 70 will get people sick in a hurry. BMD & I are heading to Harris lake to try our luck today. Hope to land a few hawgs out there with this being our last fishing trip for the year. Would be nice to land that double digit to end 2006 with. I will let ya know how we done later tonight. Get some rest and get well soon buddy.

Roy, Get better soon! Let me know if you cannot meet Monday. I took the old Ranger out to Jordan yesterday. Mainly just to run it, it hasn't moved since the last BFL tournament. The report on the lake was the fish were biting in about 4ft of water. Small Crank Baits on rocky shoreline. There was a lot of debri floating on the lower end of the lake.

Hey rangerroy I sure hope your feeling better soon. Everyone has been sick here at my house too except me. I have been lucky.

Then again I have been dragging everyone out fishing regardless of how they have been feeling. I've been telling them to "suck it up " and lets go catch a big one!

Feel better soon.

All I can say fishing in Dec SUCKS!..LOL There was a tournament there today and everyone we came by said they had nothing. Sounded bad right off the bat and guess what it was very bad out there. We did land one dink to show there was at least one bass left in that place..LOL Oh well Dan and I had fun just fishing together and thats what counts in my book. I am done fishing for 2006 so its up to you die hards to keep this board alive. Club starts back in Feb and I will hibernate until then.
Partner, I had fun out there with ya today and want to thank you again for the gift. Wish it had been better fishing for us but thats why its called fishing I guess. Sure glad it was not a tournament thats for sure..LOL Good luck tomorrow on Johnson and hope it will be a lot better fishing then what today was for us. Its time for this old bear to find a good cave now to crawl up in. Thanks again for making the trip out there with me.

I hope you feel better soon, Roy. It sounds like you have the same crud I have seen down here. One employee was out for a week with it and another's son missed a bunch of school because of the sinus infection/strep thing. I spoke to my Dad in California earlier in the week and it sounded like he was suffering from the same illness. You were wise to stay away from the rest of your family because it seems to be very contagious. I am sure glad it is one virus that can't be spread through the web!
Take care, and get well soon.
