Got a call from Mr. Bill Danc......I mean Junior yesterday evening and he wanted to know if I wanted to witness another bass slaying today at Southern Pines lake. Being I have never seen the place and he only been once I thought it might be fun. Another guy named Doug went along in his own boat. Doug, not yet used to witnessing Juniors uncanny ability to catch fish bragged at breakfast how he was going to out fish both of us. I tried to remind him of the last few times how he has remained in a tie with me at 0 for the last 3 trips. We started off at the ramp and let Doug pick his spot( he has fished the lake many times before) and I was throwing a jig and spinnerbat. Junior had a wacky rig. After a couple hundred casts he said wrong color. After swithing to the usual green pumpkin, two casts later he had his first bass. A few later he had a good keeper on, then another fish. By now Doug was talking to his self, he said there was no fish and wanted to leave. Next we stopped at a pond on the way home so we could catch fish. That ended the same way too. Junior 3, Doug and I 0 sad.gif Not a bad day, Junior 6 zero for everybody else.

Where is this lake Mike? Sounds like fun, if your Junior!!

I'm dying to get out, might get to go tomorrow morning, my Tx partner is outta town, and my truck is still in the shop sad.gif

I can go sit in the boat and pitch into the graveyard, though smile.gif

Its near the Wispering Pines airport in Moore County.

Pitching into the graveyard might be fun, just to see what you can "scare" up biggrin.gif
Might be a little wet tomorow morning, but I have to wet a hook sometime on New Years Day.
