The Philadelphia Fishing Show is an annual event that takes place at the Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Philadelphia Fishing Show, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The show brings together fishing enthusiasts from around the region to explore the latest fishing gear, learn new techniques, and connect with other anglers.
The first thing that struck me about the show was the sheer number of small fishing businesses. The Expo Center was packed with local tackle shops, custom lure makes, local guide outfitters, and more. Each company came to the Oaks Expo Center to showcase its company and connect with its customers.
Another bright spot of the Expo is having the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops led by some of the top names in the fishing industry. These experts shared their knowledge and experience on a wide range of topics, from fly fishing to saltwater fishing to Pa regional fishing. One of my favorite seminars was by Anthony Awgul who owns Awgul Guide Service. He talked about the local fisheries around the Philadelphia area and share his expertise on how to target bass. I came away from all these sessions with a wealth of new information and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the sport.
Another highlight of the show was the chance to connect with other anglers. There were plenty of opportunities to meet and chat with fellow fishing enthusiasts, including one of my all-time favorite YouTubers Extreme Philly Fishing. It was great to be part of such a passionate and dedicated community of anglers.
It goes without saying, one of the best things about the Philadelphia Fishing Show was the opportunity to buy new fishing gear. I came away with some amazing new lures and accessories that I can’t wait to try out on my next fishing trip. There were also some fantastic deals to be had, with many vendors offering discounts and promotions on their products.
All in all, my experience at the Philadelphia Fishing Show was one that I will never forget. It was a great opportunity to connect with other anglers, learn new techniques, and explore the latest in fishing gear.
